Office Requirement
Policy Notes
TD Bank is the fourth major Canadian lender requiring staff to work from the office four days a week as of November 3, 2025. Executives will be required to be in the office four days a week as of October 6, 2025. The bank cited that in-person collaboration offers development opportunities and strengthens company culture. Many locations will be prepared by November, but some may need additional time to ensure readiness, potentially delaying implementation for certain teams. The bank acknowledges workplace flexibility needs and will work with employees who need additional flexibility to work from home on occasion. This follows similar four-day mandates from other major Canadian banks (RBC, BMO, and Scotiabank) effective September 15, 2025. Bank employees are reportedly scrambling to access desks and face challenges with limited space in corporate towers in downtown Toronto, even before the four-day requirements take effect. The bank emphasized that strong progress has been made and there is clear momentum in the business as they advance an ambitious agenda.
