Effective March 3, 2025, all hybrid and remote team members living within an hour's commute of a Dell office are required to work in the office five days a week. Remote workers living further than an hour from an office can retain their positions but will not be considered for promotions. Global Sales team members who can work from a Dell office were required to be on-site five days a week starting September 30, 2024. Dell tracks employee office attendance through badge swipes and VPN connections. The policy represents a significant evolution from Dell's 2020 commitment to largely remote workforce, to hybrid model (3 days/week) in 2023, to the current full RTO mandate. Remote workers became ineligible for promotions or internal job changes starting May 2024.
