CEO Andy Jassy mandated full return. Policy change from 3 days per week (announced February 2023) to 5 days per week (announced September 2024). The new 5-day RTO policy has generated significant employee dissatisfaction. Exceptions will be made for 'extenuating circumstances' or pre-approved remote work requests, similar to pre-pandemic practices. There are also reports of potential challenges with office space availability in some locations.
